For those who have a PlayStation Vita and like me, have been waiting for PSone Classics to be added. The day we’ve been waiting for is almost here! Come August 28th, 100 PSone classics along with Cross-Controller feature and the ability to control the home screen will come to the PlayStation Vita in the form of a firmware update! I think I’ve been one of the most adamant people when it comes to the Vita not supporting the PSone classics, and finally that’s happening.
Sony has announced two big game collections for release. “God Of War Saga” and “inFamous Collection” will feature every game and dlc released for both games.

God Of War Saga Includes:
- God Of War
- God Of War 2
- God Of War 3
- God Of War: Origins Collection
- Bonus Content
- Voucher for one trial month of PlayStation Plus
- Remastered for HD, DualShock Control, Full PlayStation Network Trophy Support and 3D (3D Only supported in God Of War 3 and God of War: Origins Collection)

inFamous Collection Includes:
- inFamous
- inFamous 2
- inFamous: Festival Of Blood
- Extra Missions
Both of these game packs will run you $29.99 and will be released in the US on August 28th. It should also be noted that both games will launch alongside the Ratchet and Clank Collection and for those who own these titles already will be able to download from the PlayStation Store without the extras.
Sony’s E3 press conference wrapped a long time ago, however that doesn’t stop us from bringing you what we thought of the event. After watching Microsoft’s press conference you might want to think that Sony’s has this E3 locked.
Beyond: Two Souls
+ Stage Gameplay Demo
+ Ellen Page plays Jodie Holmes who is the main character
I caught this literally as I woke up after watching the Ubisoft press briefing and wanted to know what was this beautiful looking game on my TV. Come to find out it was Beyond and it’s made by the same developer behind Heavy Rain, Quantic Dream. This game started off the press briefing and I think I caught it half way through, but one thing I noticed other than the graphics is the performance by Ellen Page who was cast to play the main character Jodie Holmes. She does a great job portraying the character both physically and vocally. The game looks a little Heavy Rainish but that’s to be expected when it comes from the same developer.
PlayStation Vita
+ PS One Classic are coming to Vita this Summer, starting with Final Fantasy VII and Tomb Raider
+ Call of Duty: Declassified announced for Vita, No release date announced.
+ Crackle, Hulu Plus and YouTube are coming to PlayStation Vita
When they announced that the PlayStation Classics were finally coming to PlayStation Vita, I yelled “THIS IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE AT LAUNCH” at my television. That’s how I feel, even if it wasn’t there at launch there should have been a team working on getting those games on Vita at least a week to 3 weeks after Vita’s launch. However, I am excited to finally re-download the TWO Final Fantasy games I downloaded. Call of Duty: Declassified was announced and that was it. They just vaguely mentioned it and kept it moving on to something like…YOUTUBE! That’s right YouTube, Hulu Plus and Crackle all making their ways to the PlayStation Vita. Oh boy how I can’t wait to watch nut shots and Anime on my PlayStation Vita. It’s actually a great addition to the PlayStation Vita’s growing library of Apps they offer through the PlayStation Store.
Sony All Star Battle Royal
+ Two new characters announced
+ Gameplay Stage Demo
Even after hearing about this game, I still think its Super Smash Brothers on crack…or steroids…something. Watching the press conference show us how somewhat similar the two are when it comes down to gameplay. They’re both very EASY games to pick up and play, and only care about fun factor. Don’t get me wrong, video games are supposed to be fun and exciting and I encourage it especially with this game. Watching the gameplay on stage however, made me question tactics. It seems as if you just build towards level 2 or 3 specials, you have a better chance at winning the match..or maybe not if you base it off the results of the match played on stage. It looks fairly easy to build meter in the game, but it still looks like a fun little clone of Super Smash Brothers. Two characters were added to the already stacked roster. Big Daddy from BioShock and Nathan Drake from the Uncharted franchise.
Assassin’s Creed: Liberation and Assassin’s Creed III
+ Liberation announced for PlayStation Vita and Set In France
+ Liberation features the first lead Female assassin in the Assassin’s Creed franchise
+ PlayStation Vita Bundle Announced, will include the Crystal White PlayStation Vita, 4GB memory card and will be WiFi only.
+ New Naval Combat Gameplay Shown for Assassin’s Creed III
- Introduced new character named Connor who you control during naval combat mission.
+ PlayStation 3 320GB Hardware Bundle announced for Assassin’s Creed III
I have to say I was a little relieved to hear about a PlayStation Vita Assassin’s Creed game, and I’m sure the female gamers will be a little excited to see that a female assassin is the lead in this version. However, the big thing was watching Assassin’s Creed III Naval Combat mission in the game and looking at the way the ship was controlled in and out of battle. I thought it was really cool to see that we will have control over the ship during that mission. The two bundles didn’t really do much for me when they were announced, it’s like all of the other bundles that Sony and other companies have put out. I kinda take that back, because handheld gamers will be drooling all over that white PlayStation Vita that’s bundled with Assassin’s Creed: Liberation.
FAR CRY 3
+ 4 Player Co-Op Stage Demo
+ PlayStation 3 owners get exclusive content
When I first saw Far Cry 3, I was not a fan, you can ask my friend Brent because he was the first person I said “I don’t like the look of it, it’s too cartoony for me”. However, with time I started to notice little things that will make this game a great experience for those who buy it…including me. They showed the audience in attendance as well as those who were watching on T.V. 4-Player Co-Op. The mission was to plant a bomb on the rail bridge, this means some team work is required to protect your team-mate while enemies are gunning to stop you. The game looks pretty good and the Co-Op play seem to run perfectly, but there’s a big difference between the E3 build of a game and final build so we’ll wait and see how this one turns out.
BOOK OF SPELLS (PS Move Game)
This game was announced and of course my first reaction was to immediately dismiss it as a core gamer. After watching the demo of it, I gave it a “that looks pretty cool I guess” and continued to watch for other games. It’s not going to be a game for everyone and being that J.K. Rowling’s name is attached to this project, it’s going to bring Harry Potter fans to the game.
GOD OF WAR: Ascension
+ Game-play Demo
+ March 12, 2013 Release Date
I don’t know how to describe my excitement for this game, So I’ll keep it classy in some way. The stage demo they released upon us was pretty good, and I say pretty good because the next game I talk about got a bigger reaction than this. The game looked great from the build they showed, and its typical Kratos. Hacking and slashing through enemies and bringing the brutal melee and weapon kills. I was impressed with the demo shown and I’m sure when people left the room they went to look for that game on the show floor. 2013 seems so far away, but it will be worth the wait to have a well polished game.
THE LAST OF US
+ Game-play Stage Demo
- Stealth, Hand To Hand and Weapons showcased
- Weapon Creation (With The Molotov)
This was the last game of the press conference and boy did it NOT disappoint. The demo shown had Joel and Ellie sneaking around an apartment building and trying to avoid contact until they couldn’t. Well, this is where hand to hand comes in, the first enemy they encountered Joel took out which alerted his partners that were on the same floor, two within eyesight. This is where stuff gets heavy as Joel picked up a gun to fire back at the two guys taking out one and dodging into an empty room. There was also a point during the demo where there was an enemy taken out and I didn’t see it because I was writing down these notes as the presentation was going on. From what I saw however, was awesome and I can’t wait to hopefully get a demo of this on PlayStation or maybe Comic-Con? Oh who am I kidding, I probably won’t be able to get in to this year’s Comic-Con.
Overall, I felt Sony brought their A-Game this year and showcased a lot of great games that kept me interested. It wasn’t boring and I think that PlayStation users have a lot to look forward to this, and next year.
I have been wanting to see gameplay of this game for a really long time now. Make sure to watch all 7 minutes of it because it is all well worth it.

Naughty Dog has clearly done a fabulous job on this game. The game environment looks stunning and the combat looks pretty good too. This was easily my second favorite game of E3 next to Assassin’s Creed 3.

Can’t get enough of those bone-shattering kicks and gut wrenching decapitations? Do you need to fill that void outside of your (wo)man cave? If yes, we’ve got good news. Warner Bro. Interactive has announced today that Mortal Kombat will be releasing on the PlayStation Vita. Mortal Kombat will introduce new content and gameplay features just for the Vita. Ed Boon, Creative Director stated the following: “The NetherRealm team is committed to making sure that we follow up the success of 2011’s Mortal Kombat with an equally compelling experience on the PlayStation Vita,” adding “The original game content and new features we developed for the PlayStation Vita will provide gamers with the best fighting game experience available on the new mobile platform.” So there you have, you can look forward to ripping out spines and decapitating your foes in Spring 2012.
Stay tuned for upcoming details on the new features!
The Ratchet and Clank series has been one of the most solid first party titles Sony has produced. Bold statement to make you say…maybe not bold enough. However, a new co-op trailer has been released for the upcoming Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One game and it looks pretty good. Take a look, after the jump. The game drops October 21st only on PlayStation 3.
Remember that teaser trailer Sony released? Yeah, they had a date set for when the full thing would be released. That date is today and here is that very trailer in its entirety…and its quite awesome.

Yes, that is correct. From now until October 2nd (or until they’re sold out) you can purchase the Playstation Move Motion Controller, Navigation Controller, Charging Station or the Move Sharpshooter for up to 50% off from GameStop. Or you can just purchase them all together for about $75 (excluding shipping).
Maybe you already own everything Move, if you just so happen to be short on games, GameStop is also discounting a selection of Playstation Move titles to $9.99. Head on over there while supplies last!

Tweeted by Jim Lee himself, Green Lantern: Fight for the Light will be available as a FREE download to current DC Universe Online subscribers on Tuesday, September 6th. The DLC will contain two sets of light powers, one being the power of “Will” (Green Lantern Corps.) and the other, “Fear” (Sinestro Corps.). Players will have access to several new scenarios including a fight at S.T.A.R. Labs, a battle of light between the Red Lantern Corps in Coast City and the struggle to control the prison break at the Sciencells Prison on planet Oa.
I don’t know about you guys, but this is the DLC I have been waiting for since the launch in January 2011. I got hands-on with this content at Comic Con 2011 and let me tell you, there isn’t anything more satisfying than beating the fear INTO a few members of the Sinestro Corps.
Now if you will, say it with me:
“In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight,
Let those who worship evil’s might
Beware my power Green Lantern’s light!”

As a continuation from the gameplay footage shown at this years Gamescom. Nathan always finds himself in an unbelievable amount of trouble (i.e., dangling from a train which is also coincidentally dangling from a mountain. Go figure.), this gameplay shows him in just that and stays true to the franchises suspense. Without spoiling anything, I can absolutely say you’ll be saying “Holy Sh*t” at least once, Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception is due out November 1st, 2011 on the Playstation 3.

Here it is, what a lot of you I know have been waiting for out of Gamescom 2011. Some of the Uncharted 3 story gameplay, we see Nathan fight his way onto and in the cargo plane previously shown in another Gamescom trailer. I shouldn’t have to say it… But I will. Make sure you pick this up November 1st, 2011. Enjoy!

Yet another trailer has come out of the Sony press conference; Follow Capelli. Catch the trailer and some screenshots below.
